Neurological postoperative physical therapy.

My mom had a brain tumor, and she has finally been allowed to come back home from the hospital. The doc gave her exercises to do, but my question is.....From personal experience, what exercises would help best? She has trouble with walking and regular activity, as well as dexterity.
