Photographers don't get work through letters of introduction, they get work because of the quality of their work. What you need is a promo piece that highlights your best work - appropriate for the clients you are approaching. Send the promo piece, then follow-up 1-2 weeks later with a phone call.

Your work is good, but scattered. To get work in a specific field your webstei should be focused on that field. As crazy as it sounds at first, the more narrow your focus, the easier it is to get work - in that field. I suggest you focus your site entirely on floral and interior work (you don't have much here - do some personal projects to show examples appropriate for interior decorators) - 2 galleries only. You can add a 3rd category called "personal" and put a few of your favorite non-floral and non-interior photos in that "gallery, or within that gallery have sub galleries for the rest of your work.

I appreciate your answer but I must say I did not ever ask for a critique of my website or my work. My work is good but scattered ? Thanks for that... all the honey in the sunshine to you

What I mean by "scattered" is that your site doesn't have focus. Portraits, close-up macros of flowers, horses. It's great work, but in order to get hired you need to show a body of work that *focuses* on the field you are targeting.

Thanks for asking for your thread to be removed, your request has been refused.

I am sorry if you don't like the answers you get but that is what happens in open forums.

If you don't want people to give their honest opinions of your work, you should not be putting it public.

To be honest you are getting good advice

Excuse me ? How can you refuse to remove it?? I never agreed to have my work or website analyzed by you or anyone else... AND if I was to ask such a question it certainly would not be to someone who uses the terminology "interior" work instead of portraiture. PLEASE REMOVE THIS NOW!!

You agreed to the terms and conditions of the forum,

You posted your web site ( which is public anyway and easy to find using your user name.

So you agreed when you signed up. If you failed to read the terms and conditions that is your error. Unless a post is improper we do not normally delete a properly asked question.

Merely not getting the answers you want or like is a risk you take.

I have removed your link to your web site.

Please understand that you would have gotten dozens of other answers over the next few days. Some better than others.

But in general you are a good at the photos, but perhaps need some study in management for your business and practice.

And honestly being able to take negative comments since that is the only way you will ever improve

    Also this thread is closed
