Panasonic Question

My husband and I have found a pretty good deal on a panasonic camcorder. It's the Panasonic Camcorder (PV-GS59). I was just wondering what if anything anyone had to say about them. I like it because it's digital and it will take still pictures. Any info anyone might have would be very helpful in our decision making process. Thanks

Most camcorders now will take digital stills as well. But the stills they take are low res, generally 1-2 megapixels. These are fine for small (up to 4x6) prints but will lose quality larger than that.

The good thing about Panasonics is their image stabilization is among the best.

Myth agrees: Thanks... I had hoped that the stabilizer was good. I hope it's better than the sony handycam

It's mega pixel listing quality is 1.2 it was the best that I could find. It's a mini dv camcorder. It's gotten great reviews. I just wanted to know what people that i've interacted with before think of it.... Thanks scott that helps alot.
