My childhood on slides

I just gained custody of all of the families slides, without a projector. Mom doesn't know where it is. I found a nice one on ebay but it only uses the small 2 inch slides. I have lots of 3 inch slides that won't fit. Are there any projectors that take those anymore ?
Also I read someone mention getting their slides digital. Anyone know how and how much it costs? Thanks, Diane

If you have a scanner you can upload them onto your computer and put them on a disc or a flash drive and then Wal Mart, UPS, a camera store or a number of other places should be able to print them out for you. It should be rather cheap depending on the quality of paper and where you take them mostly.

there are some decent scanners on the market that are supposed to do a decent job with slides.

we recently purchased the canon canoscan 8600f scanner with slide capability, but havent used that yet. we've got my wifes fathers slides and that option was important.

price was around $240... but we are doing a lot of scans of pics from others in the family to get together a digital phoo record, so the price was reasonable. still... if you are interested in getting them scanned digitally, id compare the cost of paying for it to be done and getting a scanner.
