Battery Problems

Okay I just bought a new Sony Cyber-shot [Model

SC-S500] on Friday [11/24/06] and I tested it last night, it worked fine. But this morning it was out of battery so I bought new ones and in about 5 minutes said 'Low Battery'. Any comments or opinions on why it runs out so quickly?
