Help my Daughter!

Excuse me, if my message does not correspond to rules of your conference.

We live a small city in the Samara Region called Chapaevsk in Russia. Our daughter Lenochka is 14 years old. Since childhood she has been suffering from a very serious disease lymphostasys of lower extremities. Last year another trouble came to us: Lenochka got sick with another serious disease called aplastic anemia. Now she is being cured in the department of general gematology of the All Russia Children Hospital. Doctors tried all methods in the attempt to cure Lenochka, and now we are left with only one hope to save her life by marrow transplantation. Since Lenochka does not have any brothers or sisters ( we failed to have another child, the child died) it is crucial to have a marrow donor for her. It is a very complicated operation and the cost of it together with necessary drugs comes up to enormous sum of money 50 000 US $. We are ordinary people and this amount of money is a fortune for us. We will never be able to collect this money by ourselves. Our only property is two apartment in our small town - one of ours and one of our parent-pensioners. But even if we sold both of them , we would get only half of the sum. We are prepared to part with all of our property because if Lenochka parishes because we could not get the money , it would be impossible for us to stay in the flat where we live. We appeal to all kind people hoping that you won't be indifferent to our misfortune and help to collect money for our girl. With gratitude and best regards The Gorbunovs.

Contact St. Judes Children's Hospital, well known for this type of disease treatment. You can find them on the internet. They may be able to provide free treatment for your daughter, and perhaps can provide transport to the US as well.

You know, I don't want to be a B***H, but I was watching Dateline NBC last night, where they did an investigation about internet cons. Where you get this letter/email about something horrible that would surely tug at the heart strings. It gets you to give this money and there really isn't anything going on but a con.
I am not saying that is what is happening here....

It's a sad thing that people take advantage in this way - prevents legitimate people in need from being trusted when they are in true desperate circumstances. A special kind of pox should be reserved for people who make up stories about dying children.
