what kinda bug

Ok i live in Virginia and in the summer while out side these very tiny bugs almost invisible bite me. i can only see them when bitten and look at the bit spot. They are tiny orangeish color. I belive they fly but possible jumping not sure. i have never been bitten by them til i moved to Va and most people i have asked have never seen or heard of them. can not find anything on internet about them, and while i call them bugs could be a parasite i don't know but they are most annoying worse then skeeters .any kinda help would be great . even a guess to send me on my way. thanks in advance

Could be a couple of different types of biting insects

High strength DEET repellants or long sleeves are about your only defense.

Thanks for the reply but none of those are the right kind of bug. I tried to get a picture but it is to small even with a magnifying glass still could not get a clear enought pic only can see the color of a piece of dirt. I noticed that some of them have a black maybe brown dot on them towards front of them, and after studying them they are flying not jumping but thanks again
