Is it true that burning sulphur inside the house will get rid of lizards?

I can't seem to find anything on Croken lizards via Google. Again this is where a local expert would be handy.

Maybe consider methods to rid your house of their food source: bugs. That sticky paper you can hang from the ceiling is safe, those lights that draw in bugs and zap them, etc.

I also read that you can get a sticky floor mat that to put at your entrances which trap the lizards. It would mean that you'd have to touch the lizard to remove it from the mat and put it back outside. The floor mat is meant to be a harmless way to trap the lizards and eventually discourage them from that area (their entrance to your home).

As a personal opinion, if you DO decide to do the mat, check it often enough that the lizards aren't trapped for so long they starve or something.

And by the way, after rereading my original post, I see that it looked like I meant that you shouldn't be lifting your baby in general. No wonder you were offended! When I read your original post, I made the (stupid) assumption that upon seeing the lizard, you had grabbed your child from the floor and almost hurt them trying to make a quick escape (i.e. Trying to "save" them from lizard, thus teaching them to be terrified of it). Now I realize that you were already holding him/her when you were startled by the lizard.

Again, sorry for my misunderstanding.

In South Florida we had camelians (small lizards) They would be outside in droves cathing all the bugs. When I was a little girl in Pennsylvania some 55 years or so ago I would get one of these camelians and have him on a string tied around his back legs on his abdomen and take him to school with me using a safety pin pinned onto my clothes. I loved them but being too cold in Pennsylvania they would only last a fewmonths and then die of the cold.

They made great pets.

Would recommend that you carefully go around your home filling in any crack and being doubly scrupulous about the space under the outside doors. They are obviously coming inside looking for more food and getting in that way or the windows.

Do NOT burn sulphur inside the home as this will not solve your problem!
