How do I get rid of Earwigs ?

Hi, I live in jerusalem, Israel...
I have a problem with those annoying insect called Earwigs, they are everywhere, even in the food I found those nasty creatures !!!

Does there is a way to get rid of them without catching every single one and throwing them to the toilet?

I'm presuming earwigs same here & there - dark, thin, looks like pincers on rear. Harmless but annoying. Remove decaying organic material from around bldg - their food source. A residual insecticide or powdered boric acid in cracks & crevices and door frame might help.
