You need to call a dead animal removal service like the one described at the website below:

It could have died behind the wall.

    BTW
Try looking between the radiator tubes. Sometimes they curl up int a ball and die there after eating poison. You can use a hanger to dislodge it.

Don't worry. The smell will go away. My inlaws live next to a farm and have a constant problem with field mice. They do set out poison and they do die. If you could hold off a little longer and wait for the smell to dissapate it would be better for you. The pest removal service tend to only have interest in the alive animals. Once they are dead, their rates go up with no guarantee of removal.

The way most baits work I have seen is it actually dehydrates the animal and they basically die from dehydration and liver failure. Problem is when they start feeling ill they go some place quiet and this is usually in a wall or somewhere else inconvenient to get to. If you hold off the thing will dry up completely and the odor will go away. As a note of caution when you have a bunch they tend to go to the same place to die for some reason. This means the odor could continue until they stop reacting to the poison. I always use traps because of this.

Hi, I am just a housewife, probably not very qualified, however, I have recently have a bad smell in my bathroom, and was questioning the dead mouse in wall factor, because I also have a mouse problem. A former pest control guy came, he now is in clogged drains, but he said he is very familiar the dead animal in wall smell. Maybe he can help you. Bugsy's Rooter 908-232-4567. I thought he pretty much said if it is you can do things to nuetralize the smell, but it really won't go away until the carcass actually rots and decomposes. Good luck!!
