What part of your life would you relive?
I often think of happy times in my life and there have been many. There are a lot of things I wonder about, like what if I had done this or what if I hadn't done that? My question; If you could go back to one part of your past and spend one week what part of your life would it be? If you could change one thing what would that be?

This is a difficult one. Hmmm... The week I went camping with my family and fiancé. It was my "first time" willing. I got to sleep in his arms. I felt safe for once. And we spent so much time together. It was amazing. No problems with Dad, just 5 days in the arms of the only one I trust

An excellent question and hard to answer. I would say probably the summer just after I finished high school. It was one last time to have fun before adult responsibilities and work take over your life. You don't appreciate great moments until many years later when you look back and remember them fondly.

    I wish
I don't think I want to change anything from the past, because I believe that all the events in the past have lead up to the present and I'm happy with the present.

However, if I had the chance to relive a week, I would go back to the week that I spent on a cruise. Soooo relaxing... I wish I never got off the boat.

Though, if I relived that week, I'd want to relive it again and again. Then I wouldn't be able to make new memories.

Any week when my parents were still alive, just so I could talk to them again, hug them again, be with them again. Forever is a long time.

I wouldn't change anything, which may surprise some people. The thing is, everything I've gone through has brought me to where I am now, and I like it here.

Still, one more week with my mom and dad, that would be a the best gift ever. The only problem is, it would leave me wanting more.

I want to change my answer!

    It would be that week,

    Or

One of the weeks when my Pappy was still alive. He was the only male in my life trustworthy to me. He died when I was 6.

    Or

One of the three weeks when one summer, my life was semi normal. Daddy would walk me to the store and we'd talk and I'd buy a thing of red licorice laces. He was nice to me and Mum. And during that short time I was rarely "hurt". I was three

You know we are very lucky to have had such great Dads. I miss mine everyday. I think I would go back to when I was ten and my dad and mom and my siblings went for vacation to the mountains. My dad taught me how to fish in a big lake at the foot of the mountains. He was a gem.

If I could relive one day with my dad it would be the day I told him he was going to be a grandpa. That was a wonderful day, the look on his face, the happiness, he went straight to the store to buy a bottle of champagne (I got OJ) and we sat around and talked for hours. He was so excited.

The day my son was born my dad had shingles so he couldn't come into the hospital room. Two days later we came home and my dad had the all clear to see his grandson, so we hauled our butts over to my parents house and my father held his grandson for the first time. I took pictures, but I don't need them, that moment is etched into my memory forever.

A really great question KitKat, so many thoughts, I have to think on this a while.

Aaah. That is a difficult question. What part of my life would I relive? It's all been so interesting, and some parts of it difficult - like everyone else, I guess!

But, if there were bits I could go back to, it would be when I felt relaxed and carefree:

Lying on the lawn, as a child on a warm summer's day, looking at the breeze moving the leaves on the trees, and watching the clouds scudding across the blue, blue sky.

Tramping across the snow in the Italian alps, on a sunny day again, with white crisp snow all around, and feeling completely at peace.

Lying on the beach at the water's edge, on a warm sunny day (there's a theme here!), and just letting the clean frothy waves wash over me.

Hmmm. I feel relaxed just writing about those things.

I would not change a thing. I would not be who I am today without the experiences of yesterday.

I've loved and lost... lived and learned.

I would not go back and change a thing.

I agree J. I wouldn't change anything, but oh to have one more day with my loved ones, that would be bliss.

Driving on mostly two-lane roads in July (before expressways/interstates and auto air conditioning) from where we lived in western North Carolina to my maternal grandparents' house in Buhl, Idaho.

It took five of us in one sedan all of six days to get there since we had to drive through every city and town along the way (remember, no interstates, so no bypasses). Along the way, my dad led us in singing hymns (he was a minister) and fun songs like "My Bonnie Lies Over the Ocean," and reciting times tables, plus we played games like finding the ABCs one by one in the many signs we passed; together read the Burma Shave signs; stopped at historical markers and scenic pullovers; slept in clean and air-conditioned Best Western motels (no Holiday Inns yet); ate in diners and local restaurants (no fast food places except maybe Dairy Queen which was special for ice cream); drove parallel to train tracks and waved to engineers who waved back; marveled as we looked out the windows at our glorious country; took side trips to Denver and Salt Lake City; drove on tummy-tickling roads in Wyoming (Dad would speed up so we'd shriek and giggle); laid cold, wrung-out washcloths on hot, sweaty faces (Mom always refilled two big thermos of ice water at every gas stop -- one thermos for drinking and one for cooling); ate snacks of non-thirst-creating green grapes and lollipops; and read stacks and stacks of Little Lotta and Richie Rich and Uncle Scrooge comic books until we fell asleep in the heat.

Somehow every year we kids managed to leave a box of Crayolas in the back window to melt. In fact, it became a tradition.

Yes, I'd take that trip again in a heartbeat.

We play the alphabet game all the time in the car. I love that game. Of course I'm sure that there are many more signs now then there were back then.

Also, I wish that someone would just put up a poster with the letters Q and Z on it. ;)

The signs now are boring expressway signs. Back then there were all sorts of colorful advertising signs, especially liquor and beer and cigarette signs with lots of words on them. I'd say we had more back then, and they lined every road.

    I thought about this question,I don't think I would need a week,just 5 minutes would do.

And instead of saying yes,I would have said no!

It would have saved me a lot of bother.
