Self-worth - what do you do to take care of your self-worth?

I think we are all so great to take care of others, however how can we learn to take care of ourselves more? What things can one do to take care of their own self-worth, self-respect, etc.

I sort of feel like Megg because my parents were very negative. In the past 24 years all I have had to keep me going were my kids. The past 4 years all that keeps me going in the summer is working hard. In the winter I enjoy studying up on different things like spirituality, Bible stuff, psychology, self improvement, health & nutrition and things like that.
This winter I am really focusing on goals and working toward them because I can't seem to break free from the cycle that keeps holding me back.
