How do I show respect to adults?

Be kind and humble. To show "respect" means
A)to hold in esteem or honor, or
B) to show regard or consideration for

Listen to what they are saying, be kind to them, have patience for then. Can you give us more detail, I think this problem is more specific than what you have written, maybe it would be good to tell us what happened so that we can advise you further.

I would add to obey the rules they give you.
Even if you don't like them, the rules are to keep you
Safe and help them protect you.

And as stated previously , if you add detail it makes it easier to answer more specifically to your problem or question.
