    Dealing with Emotions
In a professional capacity, would you say it is okay to be "angry or emotional"?

We are only human... But professionally (like in the work field), showing just how angry we are wouldn't be a very professional thing to do...
But sure... Being angry is OK, it's just all in how one handles it.

They say there is a time and a place for everything.

Parents have been known to cope with and deal with burying their child because they understand that there are some things that just have to be taken care of first, and then they can be alone together to share their sorrow, express their anger and begin to heal.

It's taking control and deciding what your priorities are. You can be sad or you can be angry but you can't express either properly in a healing, constructive way until you have the space and the time to do so.

My daughter lost her baby daughter…. My heart broke for her but there was nothing I or anyone else could do… Not really.

No matter the circumstance, you can cry, you can be emotional and you can be angry… But the real deal is dealt with by you and mostly when you are on your own.

In a professional capacity? Yes, it is okay to be angry and/or emotional. What matters and what is the mark of the professional, is how that person deals with those feelings.

Anger can be healthy and it can be productive, but it has to be channeled correctly and not used as a weapon. Being emotional - I would say the same thing. We have to be introspective enough to realize what and when we are experiencing anger and becoming emotional. We have to be able to draw on our training, teaching, management skills, etc. in order to effectively communicate and resolve what is going on. We also need to be aware of our own shortcomings and ask for assistance if needed.
