change into a girly girl

Ok guys and gals, I am afraid I have to change into a girly girl because in the future Grandma is taking me on a shopping trip, and other girly things I have to do. PLEASE HELP! What do I have to do to make this trasition? What kind of clothes do I have to wear. I don't want to be a girly girl, but this is what is going to get me to the shopping trip. Thanks for your help!

Emily

Im assuming you're quite young.... well, being a girly-girl isn't all that bad. I used to be a huge tomboy until my senior year in HS. Its not all about the way you dress but the way you talk, think and do things. Be a classy girl, you'll get more respect. Wear covered clothing that are not too flasy or tight.

I am a huge tomboy right now, but I am comfortable with this right now. This is a tough decision. That's why I just asked.

Emily, if I read you correctly you are forcing yourself into a persona that is not you in order to get your grandmother to buy you things? I wouldn't call that fair play by either party and the cost to your esteem will undoubtedly be greater than what you gain. Be true to yourself and let the chips, or shopping trips LOL in your case, fall where they may.

I say dress up like Rebecca of Sunny Brooke Farm and go shopping! Just tell granny that the jock strap and mens after shave lotion is for your boyfriend.

Be yourself, don't live a lie just for someone else's sake. It may be hard/difficult for others to accept, but it's your life.

Try finding a comfortable in between and do not buy anything that is not you.
If you only find a couple things then only buy a couple things. Maybe some tank tops that are more on the girly side.

Oh and you will love capri's they are so comfortable and you don't even think about them being girly. They are as comfortable as guys cargo pants. I love the capris with the drawstrings up the side.

You can find stuff that is rather tomboyish yet girly.
Use this for a guide, some tomboyish type things that a guy wouldn't be caught dead in.

Check Hot Topix first Tripp Black Lace-Up Dark Street Capris @ Hottopic.com

I mostly wear sweats, flannels and levi jeans mostly but I like SOME girly girl things

I like Mudd's clothing.
