receiving 1099

I Became Self Employed Jan 2006,i Have Been Waiting On A 1099 From A Company
That I Invoiced Over 20,000 To And Was Paid.i Called Last Week About Receiving A 1099 So I Can Get My Taxes Going And Was Told,they Wasn't Issuing None. How Does This Effect Me? Isn't It A Law I'm To Get One.how Do I File The Taxes Without It?, All The Checks Did Go In My Business Account.
