How long can an employer wait to pay an employee in al

My husband was leased on as a driver to a company in al. His last paycheck should have been on the 23rd of july. The man isn't paying the was he is suppose to. How long does he have to pay what he owes to us.

It was due by at least the next pay date. If he has not paid and pay day was the 23rd, has anyone asked him when he is going to pay ?

You may have to sue for the payment

Yes we asked him he said it would be in the bank on the 23rd. We talked to him again on sunday he told us he will pay when he wamts to, and not a minute before
