Going from 1099 to W2 employee

I have been working for a company that I was 1099ed. Now I am going to
become a W2 employee. I was making $1200.00 every other week. What
do I ask for when becoming a W2 employee to keep things fair as to taking
home the same pay, I will not get any benefits from the company, because I
have them with my husbands work of 29 years. They offered me $34000.00
which seemed low to me. I think with taxes out that would be around $1046.00
only. They also said I would be making more. How do they see that? I see less
take home.

Thank you
Lori
