hi jessica

i wouldn't worry too much. often we get 'spotting' before a period. it may go away and then your period will come properly soon. our hormones that cause periods change with different things that happen, such as stress or if we've been sick. so not everything goes along exactly the same way all the time.

did you know that if a house where there are a few women all living together (for quite a long time) they end up having their periods around the same time? it's true! lots of my friends have talked about it.

are you on the pill? then your period should be very regular.
if you are worried about being pregnant, tender breasts are a good indicator. they tend to get tender when you're ovulating in the middle of the month, but if it's at the time when your period is due and you're worried, maybe you should get a pregnancy test kit... after awhile.

try not to worry!
good luck.
