I have Been Trying to Potty Train my 24 months Twin Daughters For about 3 monnths now. I have Went Through Potty Training Before With My Oldest Daughter and She Was The Same Age as Her Sisters When She Starting Potty Training.. Why is it Really Hard and Different With the Twins?! Can anyone Please Tell Me What i Should Do?

I think They are Ready Because They Say poo-poo and pee when they already Went or They Take off their Pampers After They already Went. But They just dont go in the potty.

ask them if they would like to try sitting on the potty after they have already gone. talk to them about big girls using the potty, do not try to push them too hard. and what worked for me is bringing them into the potty with me.

I tryed.. they do sat on the potty But they just play and sit there..

playing and sitting is fine,A great start. it takes longer with twins, they may not train at the same time treat the situation as if it was one child, one at a time if you can get one to go the other will soon follow.also taking a sopping trip to buy Big girl pants is great !

At two years old, we used a little "demonstrative behavior" letting them see how grownups use the toilet. AND, as far as they were concerned, it was the "potty and get M&M's" room. Every time I went potty I got 4 M&Ms. When I had to, I said, "Time for potty and M&Ms". Whenever they asked about the potty, I added "you want to get some M&Ms".

Let them play, whatever, look inside the potty, if they EVER even hint at going, let them count out 4 M&Ms. Fun! This worked relatively fast for both of my kids.

Humans respond to reward faster than any other motivation. With twins, as soon as one "gets this", the other will get it, too, almost immediately.

When my daughter was 18 months old, her ped. said we needed to get a potty just so she could get acquainted with it. So we did, it sat there for 6 months. When she turned two, I decided it was time. So, we started training. for the first 4 days, she did excellent. We went out and bought big girl panties, thought she was an absolute genius because she went 4 days with no accidents at all. On the 5th day, she totally regressed. She was done - she didn't want to have anything to do with the potty, wanted her pull-ups, etc. So, I gave her time. I have always heard they will do it when THEY are ready. Another 6 months go by and SHE decided she wanted to use the potty. From then on, it was all about the potty for her. We would read books, play, whatever and she loved it.

I had to get over the idea of doing it in MY time and instead doing it when she was ready.

Even with twins, they may not do it at the same time. You could always work with one - the one who seems more ready. Her sister may see this and become more interested.

If you are going to actively train, then I would get rid of the diapers. Get them training pants. (Of course, keep pull-ups for night time and then you can get rid of those later.) We used the rubber pants. The make them all in one now, so it is really easy.

And bribery does work too!

Try making it a contest. Take them in 30 minutes after you give them a drink. Have a prize (stickers for a chart, bite size candies, color books[paint with water works well], stuff like this) for the first one to "make potty" and of course have a second prize choice. We try two different things and the first one done gets to pick first. Regulate how much and when they drink. We have a no drink 2 hours before bed rule. This avoids most nite time accidents. This is advice from a mother of twins and I baby sat 2 kids that were the same age. This really worked for us.
