Seeing events in the past and future through dreams

I used to have dreams of horrible accidents about to happen. One of my dreams was about the Challenger and I was onboard when the ship blew up. This happened the day before the mission. Another dream was watching from the ground watching an airliner crash in Hawaii. I could clearly see the tail with the name of the airliner on it. It happened the next day.

You have a gift. You can go backwards in time and forwards in time. Being able to actually be at the crime scene and essentially witnessing the scene can be traumatic though.

My dreams got so intense and kept happening every time I went to sleep I didn't like this. I prayed to God to help these dreams go away and eventually they did stop to an extent. I still have maybe 4 or so of these dreams a year now. And yes, they do come true.

You have to ask yourself if this is upsetting to you or can you handle it.

Many people are given the gift of discernment through dreams. Scripture also reveals that God speaks to us in dreams and those who have passed on to the world of spirit also can communicate with us through dreams.

"And He said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream." -- NUMBERS 12:6 (KJV)

When one dreams a dream that appears very vivid and real, like you can almost be there at that very moment in physical body experiencing it, it is called a "Lucid Dream". These are long-lasting dreams where you, as spirit, can visit distant lands or even those who have passed on. This happens because during the dream-state the spirit leaves the body temporarily and travels into the astral plane where such communication can easily take place. When we are done, our spirit will return to our physical body and it is usually hard to remember dreams in full detail after that unless one writes them down immediately thereafter. Many such communications can be experienced through dreams and dreams usually contain messages that are brought forth in symbolic form. Therefore, at times, they are hard to interpret but a message is usually always there.

Further, God can give a person instruction in dreams! Here's Scripture on that. "In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed; Then He openeth the ears of men and sealeth their instruction." -- JOB 33:15-16 (KJV)

Many people keep what is termed a "Dream Diary" where they write down their dreams upon awakening and before they forget them. This can be listed chronologically for future reference. So, don't be surprised when you dream things that come true as you obviously have extended vision that can reach out into the energy that is to happen in the future and bring it forth into this time and place. That is a gift that should always be used for benevolent and loving purposes!

Palbella - You would be a good candidate to do astral traveling. You might want to check that out as well through books. I have been astral traveling since I was a little kid. I also had an out of the body experience after I had a very bad accident. That was 35 years ago yet it seems like yestreday as the experience was so vivid and real. Long story, but I know that we do indeed live on after we die.

Thank you all so much. These dreams do not scare me and I remember them very well because they are so strong and vivid. It feels more like information is given to me and what I do with it is my choice. I wasn't sure if it was some form of astral traveling or not. I am a very spiritual person and sensitive to the feelings of people around me. I had a dream one night where I was talking to my brother & he was comforting me in the dream telling me I would be alright. When I told my sister in law she couldn't believe it..he dreamt of me that night too.. He is also very spiritual. She now is a believer that I have some sort of visions. I just have so many types of dreams. Some are things in the past. Some are future events but in a form of symbolism. Example ..I saw my best friends sister's face all cut up. I didn't see how it happened in the dream but I was in shock how bad her face looked. A week later she died in a car wreck. Her face went into the windshield and they had a closed casket it was so bad. I just don't know which category I am in but I do feel I have something..but what is the question I ask myself. If you can do some studying on astral traveling you will see that you can control where you go when you consciously leave your body. Right now it sounds more like you are just starting your journey into this and your gift needs to be honed a bit more for you to actually "see" more. Also, a good thing to do before you go to sleep is to say a prayer of protection for you as one day you might come up against a situation where you will need this protection. Right now you are having dreams. Somehow you are tapping into the universal mind and receiving information that way.

When you get to the point where you can astrally project yourself at will, you will find that your gift can be controlled the more you practice it. Try also to keep a journal of your dreams and their outcome. I found this most helpful also.

Thank you again. It does feel like I'm going to these places physically and observing. I will look into astral projection or traveling which ever it is. It's never anything on my mind about any of the people. I mean I'm not dwelling on these people during that day , week or hour but It's out of nowhere I have these. I do tell someone so if I forget then I've told another to sort of document the dreams. I did keep a journal for awhile so I need to start doing that again. I"m going to research on this subject. I think you may be right twinkiedooter....

What do you do with the information in these dreams?

I have always drempt of things or places even people I have never met before. Before these things happen. Some times they are so intense I can smell, touch and almost tast every ting going on around me in these dreams. I guise in allot of ways it kind of suffocates me, I feel some times like this is an extra seance that decides when it wants to show me what has happened or is going to happened.

I have been reading what every one else has exsperenced. I am 21 and have been experencing this since I was about 4. It all started when I was in playground when I was about 4, but I was not asleep, but playing with the other children, it is kind of strange to explain, but it was like I was in my body one min, then the next it was like I was sitting in a train with my back facing the direction of movement, I sped backwards in what felt like a see through tunnel, I was watching myself talking but had no idea of what I was saying, I got scared and zipped back to my body. This happened once again when I was 17. I guise in allot of ways, I have only really started noticing that this is not so common in other people.
When I dream of events which are to happen or have already happened, everything is very detailed it is like I am there like I said even smells I have never smelt before.

One dream stands out more than the rest, it has been the same one for months at least once a week. But getting more intense each time I dream it. Slowly more detail. It is a fire in what seems like a hotel of some sort I am in a green hall way, the wall paper has a swirly pattern on it, it seems very textured. The skirting board is gold it is very shiny I can see my face in it, there is a life in the same shinny gold. There is also a red short haired carpet. The hallway is very busy, so many people. The room bursts in to flames, it happens so fast I don't know how it started. The flames start folding in on me, I can hear people screaming, high piched winning, and I can smell burning flesh. It is so intense, I don't know how to deal with this. I have never been here before, I have no idea were this is, or what the rest of the building looks like.I don't quite under stand what to do with this, it is tormenting me.

Write everything down first thing in the morning and date each one.
Then write the details of when it happens or attach the news article.

I never told people the visions I have had until they were over and then people think I am making it up. I am afraid to tell people cause some then think that I somehow must have made it happen like I jinxed them or something.

I know what you mean, everyone I have told out side from my biggest sister, who has the same kind of dreams, she calls them morning dreams, she says they always find the truth out with them, my other sister has simler dreams but not as strong and she can not choose what she wants to tuch or talk to. My oldest sister and I can do this, but not always when they are very dramatic.
Some times I love it,mostly it makes me sad because of the things I dream about. I also know what you mean on knowing when some thing bad is going to happen to some one, some times I feel like I am changing there fait, but we must be showen this for a reson. Is this us expanding our minds, or is this something we are more in tune with than others. I have so many questions but can't find any answers.
Some times its like smelling death before it happens, I don't like that feeling.
Do you ever feel like it is always on your mind? I feel like I have no relise for it, I have tried wrigting it down, when I was younger, my dad read my wrightings on a few ocations, he thought something was wrong with me. Iv tried blocking it out but it does nothing.
