Lately i have been feelin more and more weird, i already know there are spirits present in my house. i have been feelin them more now than usual. the other night my body refused to sleep. i had the feeling of some1 tall standing at my door. i waited hours to see if anyone was going to turn the corner but they never did. now i think some how this gene has been passed down from my mom she said when she was younger she used to see a lady in the bathroom laughing. i feel the spirit i just dont know if its peaceful or bad. some occassion i felt like some1 was punching me in my sleep or suffocating me in my pillow but other nights they feel at peace i'm wondering should i get some1 paranormal to check out my house. i just got this strang feelin and i've been feeling religious lately and my roseary is always in my room. can some1 explain to me whats happening or have any similar stories. im only 18 and i know its a dead on feelin about the spirits.

I do not claim to be an expert on this but I agree with "NoHelp4U"'s answer. As weird as it sounds, it could be the "old Hag" that's bothering you.

I have heard it described as a frozen like feeling when you are just about asleep or when waking up from sleep that a strange old hag like woman spirit will visit sleepers and sort of harass them. The sleeper will be paralyzed temporarily and they are sometimes tormented by this hag. One person I know went to a spiritualist and had an exorcism of sorts...not sure of the technical term, but she was haunted for years and the exorcism worked and changed her life. Hope it helps you.

firstly let me ask, are you on any kind of medication? sometimes these can affect you in the way you are discribing,also interupt your sleep patern.

Have you lost a loved one recently?, my sincere condolences if you have. If this is the case it could be that they've just payed you a visit to make sure your ok.

Could this be a stressful time in your life? maybe your worried about various things going on right now, in which case this will also affect how sensitive you are, maybe the nerves are on edge more than usual or you've had a row with a boyfriend/girlfriend or perhaps money problems, all of these things can affect how you sleep,prevent you from relaxing and so on.

If none of the above are relevant, then have you considered a night light in your room, i always have one on, which is a great comfort.

Perhaps you could find out who lived in the house before yourselves, this might provide you with some information, maybe they died in the house and are just visiting.
If you don't know, try casually asking the neigbours, most of them like a gossip, so if it wasn't the previous occupants it could have been the ones before, they are sure to know.

It reads that this always seems to happen in your bedroom, i've had similar experiences and always have a bible and a crucifix beside my pillow.When i pray at night before bed i always ask for my loved ones to go to the light with god.I ask him to surround them in his love and to keep them happy and at peace in the light.

When the same sort of thing has happened to me, usually at night, on my own i have prayed that they return to the light and i have asked that please can they not come when it's dark and i'm alone because it frightens me and if they are going to visit can they come in daytime when i'm with someone, this has worked for me.

During the day you could go to where you have felt something and ask outloud, can they please not come to you, and can they return to the light because they are frightening you and stopping your sleep.

I know all of this probably sounds a bit odd, but i believe that spirits can hear you especially if it's your loved ones.
