My house is haunted, can I know hw to get rid of the spirit

I do truly believe in spirits and many years ago had a similar experience of waking up paralyzed and sensing someone, who was up to no good, in the room with me. I was absolutely alone in the house at the time.

This was a new house, but the land the house was on, I found out, was a former village of 2 or 3 houses in the late l800s.

I don't believe though that spirits can harm you, or bring misfortune, they are benign as they should be. They are basically souls that had a purpose before they died and are still trying to accomplish it. They don't know they are dead.

The church still performs excorsisms and maybe you should look into that, rather then be fearful. I hope you do get rid of this annoying spirit, but don't forget, some of them are quite friendly and helpful. Or, maybe you should try to communicate with it to see if you can help it pass over to where it should be. Ouija boards are quite helpful and not dangerous as some may think, I have one and use it from time to time successfully.

We too live in a home with spirits.a lot of them.The thing to do is not be afraid of them.They want to communicate.I unlike Tickle feel the Ouija Board is very dangerous.You think you have problems now; Mess with that board and things will get a lot worse.With the board you can bring the bad spirits in and they're harder to get rid of than the passive ones.Get some holy water and go in every part of the house.Sprinkle even in your closets.Say prayers asking them to go into the light and be at peace.Remind them that they are deceased.Plus sprinkle salt around the whole outside of your place.Good luck!And remember they can't hurt you.You'll do great.

If you pray and have faith in God, the spirit can not do anything to you at all, It is often hard to get rid of a spirit if there is someone else in a home that is inviting the spirits back in, or if they believe they have some legal claim to be in the house. What are your paretns saying, about the noise?

Thank you for your replies. Maybe some spirits are friendly but the one that's in my home is sought of mischievous. Its very clear that it wants to scare us. Sometimes it calls our names in a familiar person's voice when nobody is around the house, there's also moaning and crying sounds from time to time. When we went for advise from local psychics they say that an aunt of mine has cast black magic on the house so that we do not live in peace, for what reasons I don't know, we can't even confront her without appearing foolish. I'll try norcalimama's suggestion of sprinkling holy water and salt, hope something changes and we get to live peacefully in our house. Thanks.

Again I will ask, what is your parents saying?

If there are some in the house, still ok with the spirits being there, it is hard to get them out. Also check the entire house for symbols, or markings of a territory around your home.

Even my parents don't have an answer to this, my dad is the only person in the home not to have experienced anything spooky till date. On the other hand my mom was complaining as recently as yesterday of noises in the verandah around midnight. My dad just advises me and my siblings not to speak about the spirit much because it may manifest itself more of its presence. I do night shifts and go home only by 4 AM, even at this time I could hear crying sound on the staircase, this really scares me. What if it attacks me or shocks me with any appearances, how can I protect myself? I have faith in god but still nothing stops it. And father what do you mean by looking for symbols and territory markings, how can I recognize it? Even if I recognize what to be done with it, please advise. Thank you.

Your dad is right, don't speak about the spirit and he won't hold sway. It may work if you ignore his presence, turn your back on him, he won't like that, but it may make him go elsewhere.

Have you ever heard of the Warrens?They're very talented in what they do.A family was having trouble like yours and they went in and cleaned the house of the spirits.Look on the discovery channel for a show called A HAUNTING.There you will find the story called Haunted in Conneticut.Watch it and you'll understand what I'm talking about.See if there is any similarity.If yeah need anything don't hesitate to ask.I can research for you.

What country do you live in?

Sometimes by knowing what country the person asking the question is from, it helps people to be able to answer questions because there can be certain customs in a country that may be related to the problem. And, the people answering the questions then may know about the customs. You did say something about an aunt of yours who has cast black magic?
