Don't pay attention to some of these comments that people post. Some people are afraid of the fact that there are actually people who can see spirits. It sounds like they're on the wrong site for posting as they say rude, ridiculous things and they know nothing about what they're making fun of.Go to a site that deals with this.I'm sure your friend is having a hard time dealing with it.Tell her it's a gift and not to flip our about it.Go under Tarot readings.Theres a site to help her.

I believe there are certain people who can see, and feel spirits. Does not mean the person who is experiancing these things are nuts or has a mental condition.

I would recommend watching Medium, based on true life medium that works with the prosecuters office.

Also watch Ghost whisperer. Even watching these television can open yourself up to the experiances that others may have.

    Good luck in your search.

I do understand that this can happen, but it is also a very common complaint of people who suffer from schizophrenia.

We can't just dismiss one idea and go with the other, all avenues must be explored.

This friend must see a doctor who will do tests to rule out schizophrenia, then the friend can go from there.

With all due respect J-9,What kind of doctor are you?Why do you advertise here that for money you will help them.I thought this was a free site for the paranormal? My brother is a doctor and my other brother is a director of nurses for a big hospital. They are not shallow minded and are open to knowing there is a lot of things in life that can't be explained.

Please read my profile I am a nursing student, not a doctor.

It is a service that is offered by the site. If one wishes to pay, they may, other than that my time here is 100% free. I do this for free on my own time. If one wishes to pay and talk to me one-on-one with no other interruptions, then that is their option.

This is a site for EVERYTHING, not just the paranormal. Have a look around.

And you are calling me shallow minded? LMFAO!! Did you read the other responses to this question, I was one of the only ones trying to help find an answer.

I too believe in the paranormal, and as a young child experienced it quite a bit.

I was just offering one, and only one, possible side to the story. GIMME A BREAK!! LMAO

Again, LMAO, college games. Guess what, I am probably old enough to be your mother.

Now stop stealing the thread, if you have something of substance to add, then please do, otherwise, get off my back.

I think you meant to post that towards me. I was the one who called you confrontational and you have proven my point.

J_9 has offered some good advice here. As have you. Now leave it at that and stop hijacking the thread!

Why not just erase the posts that have nothing to do with the thread. Whooops that means mine as well. Hijacking the thread, all I see is the ghosts of the past not being able to move forward to the future. Let go of all the ghosts and let this poster figure out a happy medium between both views.

Leave both options opened. Have an open understanding mind about the paranormal, which I too have had experiances. Also do not ignore the fact that people who have these experiances needs extra support from friends, family and also might need counsel to help them understand their personal experiances.

    Good luck everybody.

steviebeezie agrees: Possible, but don't automatically jump to this conclusion. There are plenty of people who aren't mentally ill who seem to think they see spirits.
Understand that I am not jumping to this conclusion, only offering a possible theory as to why this may be happening.

I totally and completely understand the "other side" as I have experienced it myself. I am just giving a suggestion. Something that should be looked into and explored, that is all.

Sylvia Browne has her own website and has authored over 20 books on the paranormal. Go to any library and find them. You can also watch Montel Williams on Wednesdays, as Sylvia is on his show for the whole hour and takes audience questions. You can write her, I believe she says you can email her. Check her website.

J_9's reference to your friend being seen by a doctor is right on. To rule out any illness, physical or mental. Until you have worked with people who have real psychological disorders, do not make fun of someone saying to go and get a doctor's opinion and possibly a psych referral.
