    content alignment in a table.
I've got my content in a table of 2rows, 2columns with the right two cells merged: Biblical Archaeology Society

In my design view (dreamweaver8) the bottom left cell is butted up to right under the navigation... and "welcome" appears directly under the navigation:

All cells of the table are designated valign="top"

As you can see, that's now how visitors see it. Is the long image in the right cell somehow making the page ignore the valign="top" designation in the lower left cell?

How can I fix this and get content of the lower left cell to start at the top of the cell?

    Thanks!
