WMP tries to open .pdf files!

Hi all, my problem as you can see is that Windows Media Player keeps trying to open pdf files . I've checked all programme defaults and tried re-installing both WMP and Adobe but same thing keeps happening. It's getting me down so someone put me out of my misery....PLEASE!!

what you need to do is , right click on a PDF file and click on Open With..
go down the list until you Adobe and highlight that and click in the box to always open with this program and hit OK. Now your PDF files will always open with Adobe

If Adobe is not in list, click Browse and browse to the folder where you installed Adobe to and click on the .exe file that open your adobe reader, and put check in box to always Open with this program

You can use this procedure for any file that you have a problem with opening the proper program - right click and choose Open with and go from there

I'll assume you are using IE
go to Tools on menu bar and go to Manage Addons and click Enabel or Disable Addons
make sure the add-ons currently loaded in interenet explorer and make sure you have adobe in that list and make sure it is enabled, if not on the bottom are 2 radio buttons, change to enable and click OK
