Uninstall Yahoo Messenger

iI AM TRYING TO UNINSTALL YAHOO MESSENGER FROM ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS. however when I attempt to do so I get the following error message Could not open INSTALL. LOG file. Thanks in advance for any atention and feedback to this post

Make sure that it is not running in the background. Double check this by pressing Control-Alt-Delete.

If you still cannot uninstall it after being sure it is not running, try re-installing it...THEN go back to Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs. That should take care of it.

yahoo messanger could not open INSTAL.LOG FILE.
