printing works spreadsheets

printing works spreadsheets

I'm usually not easily stumped, but this one has me. I have MS Works 8.5, and an HP printer/scanner. I can print anything from my laptop EXCEPT MS Works spreadsheets. When I try, the error reads "No default printer selected". Of course I have a default printer selected! I can't print from the word processor! Don't those things ever talk to each other?

Any ideas?
