Photoshop issue

Hey! I have been using photoshop for quite some time but I forget how to do one thing.... I know in filters there are a bunch of options for different things but I am not finding what I used to use to create a glow around a layer, just around the outside, help ty

outer glow from the layer options tab will work as the previous poster said, but there is also the option in the filter gallery called 'gloeing edges' and this will glow the edges in multi color. You can find it under the stylize tab in filters. Of course, if you are looking for just a solid color glow, the 'outer glow' will work best. cheers!
