MS PowerPoint shows wrong character.

I have a user that in Power Point while typing the ' in her presentation shows up as asquare. This only happens for the ' all other characters show up fine in this presentation and in Word and Excel the ' works just fine but in this one Power point the ' shows up as a square. Has anyone ever heard or seen anything like this before? The user has closed the program and even powered down the PC over night and today still can not get the ' to show up. any suggestions?

No that does not seem to be the issue. I checked it on my PC and MS Sans Serif font does have a '.
The full Character Map showed one but I still went ahead a did a quick test and it showed up. Please advise.
I did try to force it to take the ', I went into the full Character Map and sand insert ' for a ', still no good.

Take the PowerPoint and display it on another PC. If the PC you are viewing the PPT on doesnt have the font or all font characters the PPT was developed with - you can sometimes get odd results. If you want, send me the PPT - I will look at it.
