Re: lost email

I will give you a few suggestions, maybe this will help. If you have a 98 (i forget where exactly it is) try a file find for a folder called identities. in it you will also find another folder with a title with a bunch of mixed up numbers and letters (real long), keep moving into the subfolders. Should you find a single file, it will be rather large depending on how much mail you had stored. It could be in the 20 - 40 Mb. That would be your mail. Assuming that you have not pulled down any new mail you should be able to rename it to the new file that was placed there from your upgrade. CAUTION! Always copy the file and move it to a safe folder when trying things like this, just in case you mess up or it doesn't work, you won't lose the original file. The same goes with the new file that was placed there from the upgrade. Since this happened with a windows update, this should all be in the same folder. Does that help?

Simple. Do a search for *.wab and this will find all OE address books on your hard drive. Make sure your search criteria is search all files and folders.
