Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Professional HELP

At some point (which I cannot return to) my Acrobat 6 Pro PDF maker stopped making PDFs from Excel (xls) files.

No problem creating pdf's from doc files, gif's, jpg's, etc, etc. But attempting to make a pdf from an xls file locks up Acrobat.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled Acrobat with no success. I've run virus checkers, Spybot, Ad-Aware and TuneUp Utilities (which is supposed to check out the registry). I've defragged, and said many magic words. No luck.

Any ideas,
Thanks,
Larry
