i have heard alot of people talk aboute some style called "emo" at school. afraid of sounding like a complete moron, i ask all you people at ask me helpdesk:

haha. emo nowadays is actually what hipstergoth was 10 years back. emo 10 years back were all nice kids with tiny t-shirts, shpants and rode bicycles in the sunshine. you'd go to shows and be shy and cute. ah those were the days that's why all those celebrity people being called "emo" are against it. cause they're hipstergoths and they know it!

emo is a lot of things it can be long hair slanted diagnoly
usually tight pants
usually black hair
when ppl say they only like black its rarely true because emo can have a bit of a feminem side not meaning gay and can like pink and red.
lots cut because some feelings hurt more inside and need to be released some way and so the thoughts of death dont get put into action.
listen to lots of music all the time both high screaming music and very low screaming rock like from first to last, it dies today, dr. acula, atreyu,job for a cowboy etc........
usually very skinny but not all
wear lots of band shirts
and emo is not at all close to goth

An Emo, where I go to school at least, is a person who cuts themselves. Usually because of depression, or they just are sick of life, I guess. Some of them do dress in what is considered the Gothic culture.

But why do some people say linkin park are emo??? i have 2 of their albums and theres no way they are emo. they are Nu-rock ffs!

Nope, nope, nope. MOST emos dont wear vintage tees and sweatshirts that have been around for a long time. thats called "Indie Emo."

From what I experience from us emos, is that they wear these types of shirts:
-tight shirts
-band shirts
-dark colored shirts
-striped shirts

and they wear chuck taylors.[[shoes]]
they have their front part of their hair slanted
to the right and in the back spikey.

they wear fishnet gloves and hand/arm warmers.
they do wear tight pants. and it doesnt all ways have to be
skinny jeans. MOST of them wear make-up and black nail polish.
Most "emos" are skinny too.

they dont always have to be sad.
it can be any EMOtion they feel.
Happy,sad,mad,excited,bored, Ect.

EMO music talks about
depression,love,hate, Ect.

3. Horny rimmed glasses
4. They try to make their hair wave across their face
5. They put eyeliner on
6. Drainpipes

8. Wristbands
9. Their hair has to be dye black, neon, or bright blond and sometimes mixed in with other colors to

11. Make up on their face
12. They start shaving their legs
13. Their dressin in drags , They call it freedom of experashen (i dont think i spell that right)
14. Most just say their a fag because thoses chicks look like s because emo is one below terunvestit
15. Their dark sensitive, and low self a esteem
16. The way they dress make every day seem like holloween
17. They have no real problems but they like to make belive
18. They write suicide notes
19. Soaking and writing poetry are my hobies
