| Do you think being prejudice is wrong?
If I make the statement I love Hispanic people this statement is generalizing and could be perceived as a prejudice comment. When I say I love Hispanic people I’m could be unintentionally excluding other nationalities and cultures. The word love/like of easily been the word hate/dislike. This statement is ignorant how could I love/hate every Hispanic person. You should not generalize.
In my opinion it’s wrong.
I have been personally accused of being prejudice because I married someone outside my race.
When I accused of such things, I normally combat the person’s accusation with logic and at the end they realized that they themselves are the racist.
I’m and was at the time attracted to all attractive women not matter what nationality or culture they were from. It just so happen that out of the different women in my circle I was attracted to my wife more. It was not to say that I would not have dated someone with in my race.
Some of the crazy arguments I got was why I didn’t wait to find someone or look for someone within my race?
Answer: So what I was supposed to do is reject women that were not of my race and search exclusively for someone that was. That would make me a prejudice person because I would have discounted the women not because they weren’t nice people but because they did not belong to a particular nationally or race. |
