Intelligence

Are we any more intelligent as humans than 200 hundred years ago? I don't mean base intellignece because I believe if some intelligent beings from long ago lived today (Newton, Edison, Einstein), they would still be considered as intellignet as humans go today.

No. We are more knowedgeable today. But knowledge and intelligence are two different things. One of the main differences is that the further back in time you go man had to be more creative to solve everyday problems. Imagine how you would cope without all of the labor and time saving gadgets we have. Earlier generations did it. Not that they were more intelligent, but at times they seemed to be so. The truly intelligent and creative will/would shine in any generation. The less intelligent would fare better in a culture where they were forced to practice their cognitive skills.
