Recovering hard drive data

Is there a way that I can recover data from the harddrive that was installed when my pc crashed and i had to install another harddrive.

Is there any freeware sites.

Any tips will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Yes. If the drive is functional, it can be installed as a second drive and accessed normally using Windows Explorer or the native file management utility for your operating system. If the drive is not functional, a data recovery company is recommended.

If the drive is accessible as a slave on another PC, you can just brows and copy your files.
If the drive is accessible as a slave on another PC but says the dive needs to be formatted, then you can use recovery tools to get the data back.
If the drive is not accessible on any PC, the you have to send the drive to specialists who will recover the data at a huge price.
