What deity is this?

I once heard about a deity that was to have "struck" his/her recipients with blinding light. I do not know what religion this deity represented, and I gather that this once was a person (like Jesus was once a person) who then transcended. I would like to know more about this. Please inform.

Are you talking about Thor, a Germanic pagan God?

I think I have seen pictures of him holding lightning bolts in one hand, but I could be wrong.

YOu could start researching there.

Best wishes,

I know a lot of stories of Zeus depict him that way...

It would appear you are speaking of Paul and his encounter with Jesus.

You can find this in The BIBLE in the Book of Acts but in order to understand you shoudl first read another book by the same author also found in the BIBLE called Luke
