Heaven

According to the Bible, in Heaven the saints will praise God for all his glory forever and ever. This does not sound like my idea of Heaven!!! Standing around singing God's praises for the rest of eternity sounds, in fact, like nothing more than a super-big ego trip for God. If that is so, then he can not be a truly good God. Yet, if the Bible is to be taken literally, then this is what heaven will be. Is this what heaven will really be like? And if it is, then how can heaven truly be some place I should want to go?

Re: Heaven

People who are recipients of the heavenly resurrection praise God forever via their obedience to his will. That will can include supervision of earth's paradisiacal restoration. The defeat of Satanic spirit forces at Armageddon. Perhaps assignments to far flung reaches of unimaginable universes where God has vast creative works in progress.

Since we are bound by our senses to this material level of existence, we cannot really imagine how heaven will appear to those who go there. But we can be assured that God will place those going their in a pleasant environment an boredom will never be a factor.

1 Corinthians 2:9
However, as it is written: "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him"

There is also work to be done right here on earth for those who will be given life eternal upon it.

2 Peter 3:13
But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness.
(Whole Chapter: 2 Peter 3 In context: 2 Peter 3:12-14)
