I just got a new mini lop the pet store said he is about 7 weeks old. I have been trying to litter train him. He is doing really well but when he gets onto the couch with me or my boyfriend he always pees and poops on the couch. Is this becoming a habit and if so how do we break him of this so he can sit with us? Also we were told that this breed of rabbit is really cuddly and social. We have had him for a little over a week and he is not acting like that, will it take him more time to get used to us and his environment or is it just his age?

Age may be an issue on litter training. Rabbit will ussually want to urinate in same spot, but "raisins" may continue to appear. Remember this is like a puppy, and does not have much control at this age. When holding, biting, pulling at clothing is sign may want to get down and urinate. Also needs to be alble ot orientate where cage and litter box is and may be too big and area of freedom for him to have figured out so soon.
Buck are more friendly and less teritorial than does, so good choice. Remember rabbits by nature are ground dwelling animals and being lifted ussually means they are about to be eaten by a predator, so go slow and give him time to know what is safe.
