Access database on Linux from Windows.

I am trying to access a database on linux machine (it is a bugs database
) from WINDOWS 2000 server.The ODBC connection to database tests are
successfull.I am trying to access using Microsoft Access but it just
exits.Is there a specific MYSQL client that i need to install in order to
access it from a windows machine ?
