car advice

my husband and i put a car in our name for our daughter, she made her payments for about a year and a half. but now she is not and we are. i have explored selling the car but it is not even close to worth what is owed on it and the miles are to high for anyone to get it financed. my question is does anyone have any advice on what options we have at this point. the place we have it financed will not let it be re-financed in someone else's name, they say i can leave it in my nama and trust the person to make payments but i am scared of this option, anyone know any other option for me. thank you!

Re: car advice

What type of car is it and how many miles on it? How much is owed on it? I would avoid owner financing it to someone else! They might quit paying or wreck it with no insurance... a risky proposition!

Re: car advice

Check and see if you have a CARMAX in your area. They buy and sell cars. Some people use them for situations in which you find yourself. They can sell the car at times and recover what is owed on it. It may or may not help but it is a start.
