Foreign exchange

I will travel to Europe this May and I need to buy Euros. What is cheaper to buy them here in USA or get them in Europe using my Wellsfargo card? Also what is the difference in price using today as a reference?

Thanks in addance, Astrid

In my experience it is best to buy foreign currency in the foreign country. And depending in the amount you may find that the best exchange rate will be at a bank, exchanging dollars for Euros. The worst exchange rates are typically at the hotel. The rates at the the airport are somewhere in between. You can also get cash from an ATM if you need to, but then your bank will hit you with some pretty high fees. I usually change a bit of cash at the airport (where it's convenient, and you have nothing else to do while waiting for your baggage) so I can pay for taxis, tips, etc., and use a credit card for most purchases.
