implications of receiving monetary gift as H1 B holder

As the title suggess I'd like to know the implications of receiving monetary gifts ,being a H1 B visa holder.Are there any limits ?
I'd be glad if someone could elaborate on the consequences or the U.s laws regarding this matter .
