Salary Versus Hourly

I am a salaried employee. I am paid every 2 weeks. I worked 3 days and have been off the rest of the time due to an illness. My check is direct deposited into my bank account, and when I checked I was only paid for the 3 days I worked. Shouldn't I have been paid for the rest of the time during that 2 weeks since I am a salaried employee. Thanks for your help

Check with your human resouce dept. I too am payed a salary versus hourly wage. My salary is for a forty hour minimum. If I am sick I need to use my sick hours to reach the forty hour minimun. If you have sick days coming then I am sure the human resouce dept. can correct you pay.

I agree with MDQ regarding asking HR. It may be that once you are out a set number of days they autmatically switch you to their disability pay plan - my former employer would do that if you were out sick more than 2 days in a row.
