Well when the member simply does a copy and paste of their homework with ZERO attempt at answering the question, we get slightly miffed, to say the least.

Doesnt that kind of defeat the purpose of a help site? Like..If you dont understand something you ask for help.

It seems pointless to wait a long long time to ask your teacher who might even yell at you for not doing your assignment.

Just saying.

I do not object to helping a person search for the answer. I do object to someone TELLING me that they need the answer asap. Like not a request, just a demand. Where has politeness gone? I can find many things online and will help in that way and sometimes I will even give a hint to the right direction, but no, I generally do not give the answer. Then it becomes my homework and I should get the grade. But there was one person who stated she could absolutely not understand what was asked and what do you do then? How did that person even make it into college was my wonderment.

My opinion, it doesn't matter who is giving the help, its just homework, not everyone can understand everything.
