The title under my name has changed once or twice ( twice I beleive) today.

Where do these titles come from and why do they change ?

As has been discussed before, the titles are bestowed automatically a various levels of post count. Apparently, the operators have decided that member is a more apt description then expert. A point I agree with.

Also, Mods have the ability to change the titles as well. I also believe, that they can allow members to set their own titles, if they turn on that feature. Personally I hope they don't.

Yes, there are "titles" associated with post count level. The levels are set by Admin.

And yes, Mods can have a "custom title", but we cannot change the user levels - or change the setting to allow users to have a custom title.

Also, yes to the "expert" thought. We'd like to think of us all as "just people"
sharing our experience or knowledge, rather than "experts".

thanks

Thanks, I never really noticed, but it just changed like between one post and the next and it just caught my eye.

I was thinking something that brought out the details of my great looks and youthful appearance would be more in keeping with my modesty.
( hope you have a sense of humor today)

Of course no title is ok too, just wanted to be sure I did not click something wrong and do it.
