Mars' Incredible "Grand Canyon"

I was just doing some cleanup on my computer and ran across this picture.

Just thought I'd share it.

Most know Mars is much smaller than Earth, and some know that Mars has a canyon colloquially called the "Grand Canyon" (formerly known as Valles Marineris).

Here is a picture of Valles Marineris with an outline of the USA over it to give you an idea of it's size compared to our (the USA) own incredible Grand Canyon.

Can you imagine standing on the rim of this canyon??!!

funny.

but there are some people out there who really do believe Mars is red. Not so much that they are stupid, but simply not properly informed.
