Actually I have been in contract with the Orginal poster in private.
I have left all posts, orginal answers, and the ones wondering about the question.
In thier defense, if this post is from Africa, many things happen there much different in life than we are used to in US, Candad and Europe.
So while this has to be the sadest post I have read if all true, since it is in the possible to be true based on its location and governmet I have left the post and all of the thoughts about it also.

Exactly my first thoughts were they could be from another country because even for 12 their english is not all that good. I realize too that if it is a prankster that they very well would likely purposely do the poor writing but I figured the benefit of the doubt as others.

As for the word Yikes, it is a word used to express surprise.
Fr_Chuck, I agree, if she lives in Africa then things are very different there than they are anywhere else. It's to bad that she didn't inform us from the beginning where she was from, it might have helped us help her better.
If her story is true then I wish her all the best and hope she gets the help she so obviously needs and deserves, no one should have to live in fear for the rest of their life because of things that were out of their control.
