Would you think that if a client in uncomfortable with the nature of something her male attorney says, it would be ok, to tell him how she feels. This happened to me recently at a meeting with my male attorney and another attorney. He said something that made me feel very embarrassed, that i even turned around in my chair, not being able to face him. I told him how i felt briefly. Then the next day, i took my time, and wrote him an email expressing how embarrassed i was and i made sure i was not rude to him. Ps. he emails me back, dropping me as a client, saying i make a big deal of nothing and that i'm being ridiculous. I am so shocked and hurt.

What was it that bothered you? Did it deal with the case, ? what type of case was it?

But if this had to do with the case, every little detail gets discussed and nothing is held back, often they will question and talk about what can happen in court and it may seen really hard and mean.

So without the details of what was said, I can not have any opinion.

You could have dropped him as your attorney. Its your call or his call, either can drop and thats the end of the story. Sounds like you did not care for his manner so maybe this is not a bad thing.

You ask if it's OK for you to say how you felt. Yes. It's also OK for him to drop you, especially if he thinks you might sue him. We can't really comment further if you keep the story cloaked in mystery.
