state to state garnishing

Can the North Carolina Dept. of Revenue legally seize property, garnish wages or bank accounts of a South Carolina resident? Also, all property, wages, and accounts are in South Carolina.

Yes, some states may require the order to be oked in a court in thier state, but many court orders ( ie child support garnihsments) fall under interstate collect agreements and one state will honor that of another.

If is possible in some states ( I did not look yours up) to dely action by challenging it in court, but it only delyas it not stops it.

The court order for garnihsment has to take place where the legal jurisdiction of the loan happened or the court that has jurisdiction over the loan.
After that, they may have it served. Some states do not allow garnishments for some reasons.

If this is the state, looking for thier tax money, yep theywill get you in your state.
